thanks a billion trillion

Hello my wonderful friends,

Thanks a billion trillion to everybody for coming along to a successful night of fun fun fun at The Troubadour on the 25th March.
We had such a brilliant time playing for you all. One of the best audiences we have had yet! honest!

Here is a review from Tsunami Mag from the evening:

GEORGIA POTTER, RHIANNON HART & COBY GRANT
The Troubadour, Brisbane

Sometimes when you go to a gig you can get this feeling, a bit of a sense
that you know you’re about to witness something pretty special. Like the few
handful of Brisbane-ites that got to see ‘The Presets’ play Ric’s in the
Valley way back before anyone had ever heard of them. You just know
sometimes that your seeing the beginning of something that’s been touched
with the magic stick. Typically this feeling arose in a reasonably full
house on a Wednesday night at the Troubadour. Usually I would not willingly
choose to go to a gig with an all girl line up but I was glad that I did.
Coby Grant (Melb) opened the evening with a great performance but
unfortunately it was a case of your typical chick sorta stuff, love, me,
love, me, blah! Just as the house was getting cosy and it was 3 deep at the
bar, Rhiannon Hart opened her set to a very anticipatory crowd with a wicked
and yet slightly nervous banter; she had the crowd’s attention from the
moment she opened her mouth. A soothing yet deep and huskily edgy voice
confidently conveyed lyrics that are different, honest and often hilarious.
Rhiannon sings about the things we often think about but don’t say out loud.
The musicians supporting Rhiannon are all regarded as individual and well
know artists around the place themselves, which makes for a magnificent
combination. By the end of her set Rhiannon and her band had the crowd up
dancing, laughing and munching on lamingtons! I felt like I had witnessed a
birth, a beginning of something that was about to embark on a very
successful journey. Georgia Potter along with her own pool of amazing
musicians led us down toward Thursday (her words) and gently steered
everyone back to mellow town with the sweet caress of her own stunning vocal
ability. Georgia and her band produced another tight performance that could
not be faulted. Beware predominantly male led bands of Brisbane, the girls
are rising up and before you know it they will be running the show and
taking over, mwhahahaha! (Jenliza)

The next Rhiannon Hart show will be on the 1st May @ Josh Levi Galleries for 'Under Exposed' an exhibition by Brisbane music photographers.
Besides myself and my awesome sexy band there will be a whole bunch of other fantastic performers playing there hearts out for you -
Yeo and The Fresh Goods, Georgia Potter, Friends of Hers,
The Horse Darkly & Dave Di Marco.
Tickets are $15+bf or $20 on the door- doors open @ 6pm.

Hello Shweethearts ( said in the least patronising tone possible)

I'm hoping your all brilliantly happy and ready for the weekend! I know i am ;)

I  just wanted to send you all a little invite to my gig on the 25Th March @ The Troubadour .
It's going to be  a delightful evening with naked ice rubbing and beer guzzling competitions......( I'm just checking if people actually read this )
Anyway , if there  was naked ice rubbing and beer guzzling would you like me better ?

Ok so here is a little run down on the lovely ladies ( and myself ) that will be playing on the evening :

Georgia Potter

Most notably renowned  for her vocal strength and freedom , this young wordsmith delivers fresh folk philosophy and soul , with a sassy yet sincere stage manner .Over the past two years,
Georgia has been cutting herself a reputation with her live shows which have audiences both silent and watchful, yet ready to enter the dance floor at any point. Now on guitar and keys Georgia and her band are welcoming a new energy & sound , heavily influenced   by soul , R&B and hip hop . Whether performing with her band or in the timeless singer/songwriter style she blends intimacy, melody and groove with an explosive sense of narrative and experimentation.
